Clean government continues to be pursued both at the central level and regional. One source of the problems identified hampering this effort is the low integrity of the bureaucracy. This condition can have an impact on unaccountable public services or budget leakage.
Various efforts to eradicate corruption through integrity improvement have been initiated by various K / L / PD (Ministries / Institutions / Regional Governments). But unfortunately, the achievement of efforts to eradicate corruption does not yet have an objective measure.
The Integrity Assessment Survey (SPI) seeks to address the need for diagnostic tools that can help map the achievements of efforts to eradicate corruption that have been carried out K / L / PD. SPI 2019 is the fourth activity carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) together with the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
The KPK-BPS collaboration began in 2016, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the KPK and BPS on August 15, 2016. In SPI 2019 specifically for regions, cooperation is carried out between the Regional Government and Provincial / Regency / City BPS.
On October 3, 2019, at the Fave Hotel, Jalan Cimanuk, Garut, BPS, Garut Regency in collaboration with the Regional Inspectorate of Garut District held a socialization of SPI 2019, which was attended by representatives from each locus.
