Garut, January 16, 2025 – Garut Regency Fisheries and Livestock Service held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Thursday, January 16, 2025. The event took place in the Hall of the Garut Regency Fisheries and Livestock Service Office with resource persons, Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Garut Regency, Mr. Nevi Hendri, S.Si, M.M.
In this discussion, Mr. Nevi Hendri emphasized the importance of providing quality, factual, and accurate Fisheries and Livestock data. Valid data, according to him, is the main foundation in compiling relevant and effective work programs for community economic development in the Fisheries and Livestock sector in Garut Regency.
"Good data quality will reflect real conditions in the field and become the basis for making strategic policies," he said.
This FGD was attended by various stakeholders in the internal ranks of the Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Service, such as the Head of Service, Head of Division and other related officials. Participants together discussed strategic steps to strengthen the collection and management of data on the Fisheries and Animal Husbandry sector, in order to support sustainable development in Garut Regency.
Through this activity, the Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Service hopes to be able to produce strategic recommendations that can be implemented directly to improve the quality of life of the community, while advancing the Fisheries and Animal Husbandry sector in Garut Regency.
